Terms of service

The agreement between you and Dear Santa when you use Dear Santa. Last updated October 2026.

The service

Dear Santa is provided as is. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue features. Your child writes to Santa. Santa writes back.

Your account

You need a valid email address. You're responsible for what happens under your account; don't share sign-in links. You must be old enough to form a contract where you live. You can export your data, change your email preferences or delete the account at any time from your account page.

Acceptable use

Don't break the law, abuse other people, attack the service, scrape it at volume, or use it to send spam. We may suspend accounts that do, after notice where practical.

Your content

What you create stays yours. You give us the permission needed to store and display it to run the service, and no more.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Dear Santa is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Dear Santa is for parents and guardians. We collect information about a child only with the consent of the parent or guardian who signs in, who can read, export and delete everything at any time (Account, then Download my data or Delete my account). We keep letters until you delete them or January 31, whichever is first, then remove the text.

Letters are never shared, sold, used to advertise, or read by software. There are no ads and no tracking of children. Call or write if you want something removed sooner.

Santa is a character. Every reply is written by a parent.

Changes, law, contact
